Jacksonville Football 2018-19
2018 was the year I moved to the other side of JU Football, creating print and social content for a team I led the previous season as a Running Back and captain.
Inspiration: local infrastructure and triple-option football. Seven bridges cross over the St. Johns River, a body of water that flows through the heart of the city and along the perimeter of the university. Of the seven, the Matthews bridge is the most visible from JU’s campus. Moreover, JU Football is one of the few teams that runs the mercurial offense. It’s gritty—until a running back glides through a defense virtually untouched for a 65-yard touchdown. The goal was to mimic that sort of ruggedness coupled with finesse.
The JU logo was left off preseason content as it was created shortly before JU Athletics’ rebranding.
